Web Page Hit Counter Setup

(If you are adding a hit counter to your own domain (e.g.  .co.uk  or  .com   pages) you will need to email Micromat support and ask to have the hit counter switched on for that domain name.)

To add a hit counter to your web page just follow these simple instructions.

1. To use the default style add the following line of html code to your web page

<img src="/cgi-bin/Count.cgi?df=username.dat">

Don't forget to replace username with your username
e.g. if your username is joe90 then

<img src="/cgi-bin/Count.cgi?df=joe90.dat">

The counter will appear on your page at the same position as the line of HTML code.

2. To use a different style of counter

First chose the frame style you want from those shown below and then add the following line of html code to your web page instead of the line shown in 1. above.

<img src="/cgi-bin/Count.cgi?dd=A|df=username.dat"> don't forget the |

If the style you want is C, then change dd=A to dd=C

3. Choosing different frame colours

Now it gets a little more complicated.

If you want a gold frame then you need to add an extra bit to the line after the frame style
eg |frgb=255;114;0

<img src="/cgi-bin/Count.cgi?dd=A|frgb=255;114;0|df=username.dat">

The rgb stands for Red Green Blue and the numbers set how much of each colour is used from none, 0, to a maximum of 255
So - 255;0;0 = RED i.e. maximum red, no green and no blue - Easy eh?
